Congratulations on your home/condominium purchase! We have compiled this page of information to help make your closing as smooth as possible. It is important to contact us to begin shopping for insurance as soon as you have an agreement of sale in place so we can help you sort through any issues that may arise.
If you have a mortgage, your lender will require the following things as soon as possible to prepare for your closing:
- Proof of Hazard Insurance effective the day of closing and paid in full for the first year.
- Proof of Flood Insurance, if in a flood zone also effective for closing and paid in full. Normally there is a 30 day waiting period for flood insurance, but this is waived for lender requirements. Read more about flood insurance and new Federal requirements on this page.
